One of our regular customers unfortunately had a bit of a crash with a bush and her Ford Kuga was left with some heavy scratches down one side of the car as pictured below..
Here is out latest detail - a Dacia Duster recently purchased by our customer who wasn't happy with the finish provided by the dealership.
Shine Car Care recently carried out our CQuartz New Car Detail on this Porsche Macan S. CQuartz is a ceramic coating which can last 24 months if maintained correctly. We started off by safely washing the car using PH neutral foam & microfibre wash mitts. The car was then dried and moved into our unit for closer inspection. We like to check for any swirl marks or light scratches as these would need to be removed before applying the coating as machine polishing afterwards would remove the CQuartz. Most new cars don't need this machine polishing stage but some do. The Macan was in excellent condition so no polishing was required -it did have a fair amount of tar spots and fallout all over which we removed. The car was also clay barred to leave the paint smooth and ready for the CQuartz. After application Carpro Reload was also applied, a bottle of which is supplied to the customer for future applications. The wheels were sealed with Carpro DLUX. The final inspection was done outside - More info here - New Car Cquartz Detail We recently detailed a very nice Porsche Boxster Spyder and the customer was complaining of the difficulty of cleaning the wheels in behind the spokes. We recommended a wheels off detail where we remove all wheels to clean the full wheel and arches before coating them with sealant. The wheel sealant makes cleaning the wheels a much easier task as the brake dust is removed simply by powerwashing.
This area can take some time and be in a bit of a mess but we feel that when you are cleaning the rest of the car then why would you leave the engine bay out?
The image below shows the difference that can be made - we used APC and soft brushes and out steam cleaner to remove all oil and dust etc then finished it off by treating all the plastics and rubbers. The customer came to us as he was struggling to sell his BMW and thought an Enhancement Detail would enhance his chances of a quick sale. On closer inspection the paint was covered in heavy swirl marks caused by poor wash technique - shown in picture below We carried out a Stage 2 Enhancement Detailing which includes a 2 stage machine polishing service. This would certainly be required with this vehicle. We carried out the Full Deluxe Valet on this Audi A4 Avant. It is fairly new vehicle but had was needing a spruce up after having a messy kid in the back! The car was washed and dried to start before getting our usual detailed vacuum under and down the side of the seats. The pedals were particularly dirty so there were cleaned with CPC and a stiff brush. Valeting of the seats started with the fabric area being shampooed then leather areas cleaned then conditioned with Autoglym Leather balm. The windows and paint were polished by hand then a coat of High Definition Wax was added to the paint to give a superb shine - |
